Tracks lending and deposit rates across the market and writes the fortnightly rate review. Formerly a retail-banking product manager.
It started with a spreadsheet and a bad loan
In 2020, our founders spent a weekend helping a relative in Pune untangle a home loan. The advertised rate was one number; the rate after processing fees, insurance cross-sell and a compulsory savings account was quite another. The only honest comparison anyone had was a spreadsheet built by hand, late at night, from twelve banks' published schedules.
That spreadsheet became YouBankingBuddy. We started with home loans, added savings accounts, then credit cards, deposits, personal and business loans, and finally the calculators that let a reader run the arithmetic themselves. Six years on, we list 42 banks and NBFCs and compare 47 credit cards, all from a small office in Greater Kailash, New Delhi.
What has not changed is the discipline: publish the number that actually applies, name the charge people miss, and never let a commission decide an order of results.
What we are, and are not
We are an independent comparison and information platform. We are not a bank, an NBFC, a broker, a SEBI-registered investment adviser or an IRDAI-licensed insurance intermediary. We do not lend, take deposits, issue cards, sell schemes or manage anyone's money. We compare, we explain, and we introduce you to the institution you choose — nothing more.
Illustrative only. The curve marks the growth of comparisons run through our tools from 2020 to 2026, not any financial return.
